American BMS

The C4V Battery Management System brand — American-designed BMS for BMLMP, LFP, and NMC cells, with full Digital DNA traceability and NDAA-compliant supply chain documentation.

What is the American BMS?

American BMS is the C4V brand name for its Battery Management System product line — designed, specified, and supply-chain-documented for American battery applications requiring full traceability and NDAA compliance. The American BMS is not just a hardware product; it is a statement of supply chain origin — every component traceable to non-adversary-nation sources, every firmware update documented in the Digital DNA platform.

Technical Architecture

The American BMS is designed around C4V's reference cell specifications, with operating parameters calibrated for BMLMP chemistry:

  • Reference cell: C4V-53AH-27156146 (Rev K), 53 Ah BMLMP prismatic
  • Operating window enforcement: 2.8–4.1V per cell (hard limits)
  • Over-discharge protection: Forced cutoff at 2.7V
  • Maximum charge cutoff: Forced at 4.2V
  • Over-current protection: Active at 120A continuous
  • Cell balancing: Active and passive balancing across all series strings
  • State of Charge (SOC) / State of Health (SOH): Real-time monitoring and reporting
  • Communications: CAN, RS485, Modbus RTU/TCP — compatible with standard SCADA and EMS platforms
  • Thermal management integration: Temperature monitoring per cell group; integration with active liquid or air cooling systems

Digital DNA integration: American BMS logs all operational events to the Digital DNA traceability platform — creating an immutable operational record that complements the supply chain provenance record, delivering a complete battery passport from mine to operation.

NDAA Compliance

American BMS is designed to meet the requirements of NDAA Section 841 and related DoD supply chain provisions. Component sourcing documentation is maintained for all semiconductors, sensors, and passive components — excluding materials from covered entities. Defense procurement teams can receive full supply chain documentation packages alongside the BMS hardware.
